NHS Employers is submitting evidence on behalf of NHS organisations to the pay review bodies for the 2009/10. This page outlines the review process and how we are representing employers' views. Employers' evidenceOn behalf of employers in England, we are submitting evidence to the NHS Pay Review Body (NPRB), the Doctors and Dentists' Pay Review Body (DDRB) and the Senior Salaries Review Body (SSRB). This will be followed by oral evidence. Thank you to those trusts that completed our pay questionnaire for the DDRB and NHS PRB. Your responses will ensure that we have a strong evidence base for the 2009/10 pay round that represents employers' current views. We are contacting chairs and non executives separately about our SSRB evidence. Next stepsWe are now drafting our evidence, starting with the DDRB in September. This will cover key issues such as the financial position for trusts, affordability within the tariff, fairness and the preferred distribution of any award. Our evidence for the NHS PRB will focus on recruitment and retention, following the agreement on a three-year pay deal. We will continue to provide written updates through our NHS Workforce Bulletin and will publish all our evidence once the review process is complete. BackgroundThe following materials were produced to gather employers' views for DDRB and the NHS PRB:
