NHS Employers and the NHS Trade Unions, through agreement from the NHS Staff Council have today jointly launched a three-month consultation on proposals to manage an integrated approach for staff sickness absence and ill-health retirement in the NHS.
Drafting proposals - September 07
The review partners are finalising joint proposals for consultation on changes to the ill health retirement and injury benefit schemes, and managing sickness absence in the NHS. Once the consultation dates have been confirmed, they will be asking employers and staff for their views.
