On this page you will find details regarding the process around the on-going development of the Quality and Outcomes Framework. The Quality and Outcomes Framework submission process closed on 28 February 2007. We would like to thank those organisations and individuals who made a submission. We received a total of 153 submissions with the greatest number being submitted by national societies and patient groups. The submissions processAll the submissions were reviewed by the expert panel and interview letters were sent to individuals or groups who submitted evidence. These interviews took place in May and June in 2007. The ideas and evidence were recorded and then considered by the expert panel that drafted a report on the condition for the QOF negotiating group. Next stepsAll parties in the negotiations agree that the QOF will be subject to change and improvement over time. The exact timing of any changes will depend on the wider negotiations in relation to the General Medical Services (GMS) contract. Some of the evidence gathered in 2007 has been used to inform a small number of evidence based changes to some of the indicators for 2008/09. Who should I contact if I have any questions about the process? You should email marie-claire.demblon@nhsemployers.org Pages in this sectionPress release: 14 Aug 2007 Last reviewed 27 Mar 2008 |
