This UK-wide group continues its work on the review of the GMS contract with the GPC and the four health departments. Membership of the plenary group is as follows:

On this site, you can also find contact details for the implementation team. NHS Employers Core TeamBarbara Hakin OBE (Chair) is currently Chief Executive of East Midlands SHA. She was previously Chief Executive at Bradford and South West PCT. With 20 years of experience as a GP in Bradford, Barbara also led the national development programme for PCTs and was director of primary care in the Modernisation Agency. Barbara was a member of the Modernisation Board and continues to act as a PCT advisor to the Department of Health. Stephen Golledge (Vice Chair) was Chief Executive of West Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust from 2002 until 2006. He is currently working for NHS East Midlands. Stephen has worked in the NHS for over 30 years and has held Chief Officer posts in Avon Family Practitioner Committee and Gloucester Family Health Services Authority. He was seconded to Chief Executive posts in two Wiltshire PCTs during parts of 2003/04 and 2004/05 and joined the GMS negotiating team in July 2005. Stephen is the lead negotiator on Enhanced Services. Adrian Jacobs was the Director of Primary Care at Torbay Care Trust, and is now working on various projects for the NHS in the South West region. He has been on the negotiating team since the first round of negotiations. Adrian is a key negotiator on the QOF review group. Peter Dickson is Medical Director at Bradford and Airedale tPCT and joined the core negotiating team in April 2005. Prior to joining the negotiating team, Peter completed a secondment to the Workforce Directorate at the DH working on recruitment and retention issues in primary care. Peter jointly chairs the QOF review team with Brian Dunn at the GPC. Alex Farrell joined the NHS Employers negotiating team in July 2008, specialising in the financial workstreams relating to GMS negotiations. Alex has worked in Finance in the NHS since 1991 in both provider and commissioning organisations. Alex is currently Director of Finance and Deputy Chief Executive at Calderdale PCT. Prior to that she was Assistant Director of Finance with Bradford City PCT and Director of Finance and Commissioning with East Leeds PCT. NHS Employers QOF review teamPeter Dickson chairs the QOF review and is joined by Adrian Jacobs to negotiate this section of the contract.
