NHS Jobs development

NHS Employers is about to embark on a new stage of development for NHS Jobs and, to ensure we continue moving the service in the right direction to meet your needs, we will be asking for your input on a range of projects over the next six months. This section explains how you can get more involved.

Background

Since its launch in 2003, NHS Jobs has fast become the UK's leading recruitment site, drawing in more than 4 million visits and over 250,000 applications every month.

NHS Jobs has developed rapidly over the last four years and now provides the full range of tools and features enabling NHS organisations to manage the entire recruitment process online. NHS Employers has great plans for NHS Jobs over the next twelve months that will help us to understand our customers better, improve the jobseeker experience and provide a firm foundation for NHS Jobs to deliver even more benefits to the NHS over the next five years.

Review of NHS Jobs brand and website design

Improvements in NHS Jobs over the last three years have been tailored specifically to meet the needs of the NHS and employers have always been at the heart of planning their design. This involvement of employers together with NHS Jobs' ability to respond to changing needs has seen the uptake and use of the service grow significantly.

Through its growth in popularity, NHS Jobs, a service first provided as an NHS Careers product, has developed an identity in its own right across the NHS and we need to ensure that it continues to provide employers with a recruitment brand and visual identity that accurately reflects the values of the NHS.

NHS Employers is now speaking to jobseekers, employers and key external stakeholders to identify a way forward for the NHS Jobs name, develop a brand identity for the service and provide a new look and feel to the website design to better reflect the site's position as a market leader in UK recruitment and as the gateway to working in the NHS.

How to get involved

There are many ways in which you can get involved. From volunteering to join our virtual reference group, taking part in research interviews, completing an online survey or helping us find jobseekers or staff to take part in focus groups. If you would like to get more involved e-mail your name, job title and organisation's details to nhsjobs@nhsemployers.org and a member of our team will get in touch with you.
