International recruitment programmes

NHS Employers has assumed responsibility from the Department of Health for providing advice and guidance to trusts on international recruitment programmes.

Currently there is one international recruitment programme running. The NHS Professionals Special Development Scheme provides trusts with a cost-effective and flexible way of recruiting doctors on a short term basis.
