Each individual employer will need to register with The Pensions Regulator (TPR) separately, within four months of their staging date and within four months of each re-enrolment date.

The registration process is required to show that employers have met their automatic enrolment responsibilities. This process will be used by TPR to identify employers who need further support and follow up on those who have not complied with their responsibilities.

The NHS Pensions Scheme has been approved as a qualifying scheme with the reference number 10085760.

For further information on why employers are required to register, how to register and what information must be provided please see the TPR. If you’ve used postponement in relation to any of your workers at staging, you should not register until after the last day of the postponement period(s).
