End-of-life care

Holding lady

End-of-life care is a sensitive subject. Giving staff the tools, resources and skills they need is crucial to delivering high quality care for all patients at the end of their lives.

Following an independent review on the efficacy of end-of-life care resources, Health Education England found that, despite a wealth of guidance on the subject, there was a lack of employer investment in staff training on caring for the dying.

Our aim is to support and encourage organisations to invest in the education and training of staff in order to ensure that the best end-of-life care is delivered to patients. Here, we provide you with information, tools and resources to help encourage and enable learning in this important area.
