Science for Life event, in partnership with NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland.
This event is aimed at all students in Years 11 and 12 with an interest in science and healthcare, teachers of careers, science, maths and health and social care and parents of students in Years 11 and 12. The event aims to give an insight into the world of Healthcare Scientists, including the skills, qualities and entry routes to a variety of careers.
Time: 4:30pm to 7pm
Venue: The National Space Centre, Leicester.
Foyer event, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust
Staff and the general public are invited to attend the 'foyer event' which is aimed to raise awareness of the role of healthcare scientists in the NHS and the vast variety of careers available. It is an opportunity to meet scientists working in the trust and hear first hand about their roles.

Primary school ambassador visits, University of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.
Kathryn Lewis is head of audiology at Whittington Community Hospital and a STEMNET ambassador. She is visiting local primary schools during healthcare science week to talk about the science behind her job in an interactive and fun way. Kathryn believes that it is important to start engaging with primary aged children so they begin thinking of science in a positive way and when they reach senior education may choose to study sciences.
