Job title: Chair
Organisation: Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust

Job type: Full time, permanent
Location: Greater Manchester

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of community mental health services, delivering care across six boroughs of Greater Manchester. The trust's vision is to deliver the best care to patients and families in its local communities by working effectively with partners to help people to live well. With a key role in the Greater Manchester health and social care partnership, the trust is moving at pace to develop integrated health and social care services for the local population.

The trust has a workforce of 5,500 dedicated staff and an annual income of £274m. At this exciting time in its development, Pennine Care is looking to appoint an inspirational chair to support its board and council of governors. This role requires board-level experience gained in complex, changing environments. Applicants will promote the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance, ensuring that quality, finance and operational demands are held in balance. Empathy for the experience of our service users and carers will be crucial along with an ability to engage with staff, governors and members. Accustomed to high levels of accountability, the successful candidate will demonstrate the credibility and political awareness to collaborate with a wide range of external stakeholders. The trust welcomes fresh perspectives; NHS experience is not essential.
