Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust is transforming with one of the top three CEOs in the country leading the the organisation along with an outstanding leadership team. The trust is now seeking an outstanding individual to appoint to a new managing director position on its journey towards excellence. You will need to be a credible leader with skills to provide leadership, vision and direction across the operational divisions, while ensuring a clear focus on the quality and safety agendas of the trust. 

The managing director will contribute to the strategic thinking and decision-making processes of the group and has accountability for the delivery of performance targets and service modernisation; and development and clinical governance of the trust. The successful candidate will have a strong record of delivering quality and safety in healthcare and have extensive experience of working at board level and of managing highly complex and diverse NHS services with multi-agency stakeholders. You will be an inspiring leader with the energy, drive and determination to successfully respond to the changing expectations and needs of the NHS, in line with the trust's vision and values. As a systems leader, applicants will also be committed to working with other health, social care and commissioning partners to enhance our reputation as acute provider of choice and to develop and implement our extensive transformation programme, which includes the move towards system integration.
