A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the executive team at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – an organisation with vision, ambition and a proven track record of delivery, rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
The trust's managing director will contribute to the strategic thinking and decision-making processes of the group and has accountability for the delivery of performance targets and service modernisation, development and clinical governance of the trust. This will require managing a well-led organisation through strong and inspirational leadership of four clinical divisions, managed by senior and experienced divisional directors, clinical chiefs of service and senior nurses with extensive and diverse portfolios. The successful applicant will have a strong record of delivering quality and safety in healthcare and have extensive experience of working at board level and of managing highly complex and diverse NHS services with multi-agency stakeholders.
Candidates will be an inspiring and credible leaders with the energy, drive and determination to successfully respond to the changing expectations and needs of the NHS, in line with the trust's vision and values. As a systems leader, the role holder will also be committed to working with other health, social care and commissioning partners to enhance the trust reputation as acute provider of choice and to develop and implement our extensive transformation programme, which includes the move towards system integration.
