This guidance aims to provide employers with information on how revalidation and the RO regulations might alter your current practice in relation to:
- Pre employment checks: the necessary checks undertaken before entering into contracts of employment or for the provision of services with any doctor, including doctors in training, locums and doctors on temporary or fixed-term contracts
- Induction processes and during employment: issues to include in routine induction programmes when a doctor starts work
- Leaving employment: the procedures to follow when a doctor leaves your organisation.
It also includes specific issues relating to:
