South Western Ambulance Service Case Study

The trust launched its staying well service in December 2015, as a dedicated, confidential support service for the ambulance workforce.

It started with one full-time mental health practitioner (MHP), employed to provide support and host clinics across the South Western Ambulance Service Trust area to ensure all employees had access to the service. This was the first time an MHP was solely devoted to the needs of staff in the ambulance service.
