Free flu jabs for social care staff

22 / 10 / 2018

In September 2018, NHS England announced that once again free flu vaccinations would be provided for social care staff who offer direct patient care this flu season. This year, the free jab is also available for health and care staff in the voluntary managed hospice sector who offer direct patient care.

To gain access to your free flu vaccination you should ideally take with you some identification that includes your name and the name of your employer. This could be an ID badge, a letter from your employer or a recent payslip. You can access the flu jab at most GP surgeries or most pharmacies.
