This case study explores how Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust has worked to improve its NHS Staff Survey results through a range of staff engagement actions.
Learn how the trust focussed on the three areas of staff engagement:
- advocacy – how staff talk about the organisation
- involvement – how employees decide on the work they do
- motivation – how enthusiastic staff are to come to work.
This work resulted in improved survey response rates and year-on-year improvement to its staff engagement scores, rising from 3.64 in 2012 to 3.91 in 2017.
