Employer checklist for closing band 1

Following the closure of band 1 on 1 December 2018, the NHS Staff Council has agreed a national process for the transfer of existing band 1 staff to band 2.

This document sets out the information that employers need to provide for staff to make an informed choice. Employers should ensure staff are aware of the frequently asked questions to help them understand how the transfer will impact them individually.

A signature section has been added at the bottom of the checklist should employers wish to use this document as part of their offer process. For those not using it as part of their offer process, there would be no expectation for this section to be completed.
