Cavendish Coalition submission to Migration Advisory Committee on shortage occupation list

03 / 07 / 2020

Read the Cavendish Coalition response to the Migration Advisory Committee's call for evidence on the shortage occupation list.

The committee sought evidence on medium-skill occupations, particularly those requiring RQF 3-5 qualifications (A-level and equivalents). This submission includes a number of specific roles that should be added to the shortage occupation list across both the NHS and social care, such as physiotherapists and senior care workers. In addition the coalition highlighted the pressing need for the short to medium overseas supply of care workers.

The Cavendish Coalition is a group of 36 health and social care organisations, committed to provide the best care to communities, patients, and residents. This response has been formulated based on ongoing dialogue with health and social care employers
