The statistics in this infographic are taken from the 2020 Workforce Race Equality Standard report which provides an overview of the report findings, including improvements and some of the challenges experienced by NHS staff.
Organisations are encouraged to review the data and consider what this means in terms of representation, staff experience and voice for staff from black and minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds. Also included are key actions for organisations and individuals to help improve experiences for BME staff.
All NHS organisations are required to demonstrate how they are addressing race equality issues in a range of staffing areas through the Workforce Race Equality Standard
