Supporting staff wellbeing

COVID-19 health, safety and wellbeing

Living and working during a pandemic is unsettling and can have a negative impact on overall wellbeing in the longer term.

It is important that NHS organisations are proactive in supporting staff wellbeing to ensure that the workforce is healthy and available to respond to the ongoing pressures of COVID-19 and transition into a ‘new normal’ as services restart.

In this section, you can access a range of information, tools and NHS trust examples to ensure your organisation is providing a robust and targeted approach to wellbeing during the pandemic and beyond. The guidance includes advice on financial wellbeing, mental wellbeing, and implementing the basics of health and wellbeing such as sleep, rest breaks, nutrition and hydration.

NEW 31 March - As of 29 March 2021, some of the COVID-19 restrictions are changing. The government has created a COVID-19 restrictions poster summarising the changes, which include meeting other people, exercise, residential care, and weddings and funerals. View the poster for further details.
