Recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce
NHS England, NHS Employers and the National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTi) are running two webinars to help support NHS organisations to employ more people with a learning disability.
The webinars will provide practical support to those involved in recruiting and retaining people with a learning disability and/or autism.
This webinar will provide guidance on job design, job carving and job evaluation using the NHS framework. We will also share top tips on accessible recruitment, reasonable adjustments, use of Access to Work, in-work support and career development.

About the Learning Disability Employment Programme
Launched in 2015, the programme supports the development of local and national solutions to remove barriers and increase employment opportunities for people with a learning disability in the NHS.
These webinars are for organisations who have already demonstrated their commitment to employing people with learning disabilities by making a pledge, or those who are considering signing up to the LDEP pledge scheme. Learn more about the Learning Disability Employment Programme and pledge scheme.
NDTi and the National Autistic Society (NAS) are also offering pledged organisations tailored support with any issues or challenges they are facing. Please email Kathy.firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance with a brief description of the help you require. This support is available on request up until the end of March 2019.
