Armed Forces reservists community connect - 22 June 2022

Community Connect sessions take place virtually each month. An opportunity for those working with reservists to collaborate, network and hear latest updates from our reservists programme team.
The sessions include themed presentations, guest speakers, open discussion and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and share good practice.
Community Connect - 22 June 2022
In our June session we celebrated national Reserves Day as part of our wider celebrations for Armed Forces Week 2022. As usual, reservists were encouraged to wear their military uniforms to work on the day and we encouraged NHS reservists to get involved.
During the session we recognised the significant contribution reservists make to the NHS and the skills and experience they bring to their civilian roles.
There was a presentation from regional employer engagement director Jon Beake from the Defence Relationship Management (DRM) service. He explained how the service supports organisations to achieve Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) accreditations through pledging their support to the Armed Forces community.
And our programme team talked through the five simple steps you can take to help establish your organisation as a forces-friendly employer.
