As part of Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week 2022 and our work to improve experiences for disabled staff in the workplace (supporting the Workforce Disability Equality Standard), we hosted a webinar in partnership with NHS England and NHS Improvement. The webinar's aims were to:

  • raise awareness of the lived experiences and challenges facing deaf staff and those with hearing loss or tinnitus working within the health and social care sector
  • share evidence-based research, tips and good practice examples of how to support deaf staff, and those with hearing loss and tinnitus, including patients.

The webinar was open to all, in particular:  

  • HR professionals
  • deaf staff 
  • disabled staff 
  • staff network chairs
  • equality, diversity and inclusion leads.
