December flu vaccination uptake figures

The latest round of flu vaccination uptake figures from Public Health England show that 641,600 frontline healthcare workers received their flu jab in the period from the 1 September - 31 December 2017.

This amounts to 63.9 per cent of frontline healthcare workers - an increase of 2.1 per cent on the same period last year.

The end of season figure for 2016/17 was 63.2 per cent, meaning more flu jabs have currently been given than in the whole of last season.

With an optimistic outlook for 2017/18 end of year stats, we'd like to thank all the flu teams and frontline healthcare staff who have taken up the offer of the free flu vaccination in order to protect themselves and those around them.

Below are further details of the most improved trusts from the same stage last year, and the top performing trusts in each category. For a full list of the figures, see this report from Public Health England.
