The NHS Employer’s flu fighter team has been shortlisted for the Community Relations Campaign of the Year Award at the UK Public Sector Communication Awards.

The shortlist was announced on social media last Friday and the winners will be announced on 20 June.

The flu fighter team works with NHS trusts and social care organisations to provide advice, guidance and support to local staff flu vaccination campaigns, providing free resources to encourage frontline healthcare workers to take up the flu jab to protect themselves and those around them.

The latest flu vaccination uptake figures for 2018/19 show that 704,242 frontline healthcare workers in the NHS have had their flu jab, an impressive 85,000 more staff than were vaccinated the previous year.

A huge congratulations to the flu fighter team!
