New staff engagement case studies

supporting a patient to walk

The Institute of Employment Studies (IES) has developed four new case studies and a common themes document looking at staff engagement at high performing trusts in the North East.

The case studies explore efforts to improve staff engagement and consider the relationship between staff engagement and patient experiences. There are a range of lessons for employers to take forward in other organisations.

The common themes document brings together the common learning from the trusts around the staff engagement agenda, their successes, and areas where they have learned lessons. The document also shares learning that can be applied across the NHS to improve staff engagement and, in turn, patient experience.

If your trust has useful experiences to share in these areas please contact Steven Weeks, policy manager at NHS Employers.
