November figures show 36,000 more frontline healthcare workers get their flu jab

Public Health England have released the latest round of flu vaccination figures showing so far 620,828 frontline healthcare workers have received the flu vaccine from 1 September to 30 November 2018.

Amounting for 61 per cent of eligible frontline healthcare workers, these figures show an increase of 1.7 per cent or 36,992 more frontline healthcare workers having had their flu jab compared to the same period last year,

NHS Employers would like to congratulate the 36 trusts who have already achieved the national target of 75 per cent flu vaccination uptake among healthcare workers, with a special mention to the following top 10 trusts with highest uptake:

  • St Helens and Knowlsey Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
  • Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust
  • University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust 
  • Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust
  • Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
  • Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust
