The deadline for accepting nominations for the 2019 Advancing Healthcare Awards has been extended until 21 January 2019.
The awards recognise the achievements and contribution made by allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and those who work alongside them in support roles who often go unnoticed, yet make a real difference to patients' lives.
This year there are 14 categories to choose from and NHS Employers is a proud sponsor of the award for outstanding achievement by an apprentice, support worker or technician working alongside an allied health professional or healthcare scientist.
Nominations, can be submitted by an individual, their team, or by a patient, service user or carer until 5pm on 21 January 2019.
Dan Clay, a therapy assistant from Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust who won the 2018 award for his work with patients with life-limiting conditions reflects on how it has inspired him to train to become a physiotherapist in his blog.
