New procurement framework for advanced clinical practice apprenticeships

Form

Health Education England (HEE) is planning to develop a national procurement framework for providers looking to deliver the level 7 advanced clinical practice apprenticeship.

The aim of the national framework is to set up a network of preferred providers of the programme, who meet the national standard for employers to work with and this in turn, should provide a simple and faster procurement process for employers

The level 7 apprenticeship is a new route for employers to use their apprenticeship levy to upskill and retain staff with the relevant experience and expertise.

The formal tender process is due to be launched in February 2019, in time for September 2019 starters, and higher education institutes (HEIs) will be asked to declare their current and planned specialities based on anticipated numbers which will be collated from employers nationally by the HEE Regional Teams.

Further details will be sent out shortly to all HEIs and NHS trusts. For specific queries regarding the procurement process, please contact your regional HEE lead.
