Senior managers from across the NHS who have responsibility for the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda are invited to attend a half-day workshop on 29 March 2019 to provide feedback on the proposed Equality Delivery System (EDS3).
The EDS is a system that helps NHS organisations improve the services they provide for their local communities and provide better working environments, free of discrimination, for those who work in the NHS.
The Equality and Diversity Council (EDC) is currently leading on the development of EDS3 and are collating suggestions and seeking input.
Since 2015, the EDS features in the NHS standard contract for NHS providers and within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection programme for hospitals. The EDC recognises the importance of engaging with key stakeholders in-order to ensure that the refreshed EDS3 is for the NHS, by the NHS.
NHS organisations are encouraged to get involved and attend a workshop which will take place on 29 March 2019, 9.30am - 12.30pm at the Met Hotel, King Street, Leeds LS1 2HQ. Download the agenda to learn more.
To register your attendance please email email@example.com with ‘EDS3 Development Session’ in the subject heading, include your name, job title and organisation. You will receive an e-mail notification confirming your place.
