Level 2 business admin apprenticeship - have your say

Megaphone

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) is seeking the views of employers on the business administration apprenticeship standard at level 2 to understand whether there is appetite for the apprenticeship to continue to be utilised.

By 2020 all apprenticeship frameworks will be replaced by apprenticeship standards and there is a growing concern among employers in many sectors that this level 2 apprenticeship will no longer be available.

As one of the key apprenticeship standards for the NHS and a pipeline for supporting widening participation it is crucial that employers in the NHS share their views with the IfATE to influence their decision to approve the proposal for the new business administration standard.

To respond to the consultation, there is a short consultation response form which asks a series of questions which should take between 5-10 minutes to complete. These questions seek to identify whether there is appetite for the apprenticeship standard set out in the proposal, whether there is demand for the business admin role in the labour market, and whether there are other existing or proposed apprenticeship standards that could deliver this occupation. There are also free text boxes to expand on your answers.

You can download the proposal from the ifATE website. Responses to the consultation should be submitted using the apprenticeship consultation response form which is available on the IfATE website by Sunday 26 May 2019.

If you would like to contact someone about your consultation response, please email workforcesupply@nhsemployers.org.
