Armed Forces Week 2019, taking place from 24 - 30 June this year, is an opportunity for employers to publicly recognise and celebrate the contribution that members of the Armed Forces community make to the NHS.
This year, we will be celebrating Armed Forces Week by sharing the experiences of members of the NHS Armed Forces community on social media and encouraging NHS organisations to get involved.
Reserves Day takes place on Wednesday 26 June this year, and we are encouraging reservists to swap their civilian work clothes for their military uniforms to help raise awareness of the integral part they play in the UK Armed Forces.
Armed Forces Day will take place on Saturday 29 June and offers an opportunity to show support for all members of the Armed Forces community, from those currently serving, to families to veterans and cadets.
There are many ways that NHS employers can show their support for members of the Armed Forces community in the workforce during this week of celebrations. Find out how you can get involved on our dedicated web page.
You can also access the Ministry of Defence’s employer toolkit which is available to help promote the campaign and your organisation's support, and includes posters, email and events banners and images for Twitter and Facebook.
