The winners of the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) Awards 2019 were announced on 2 July 2019 at a ceremony in London. The awards acknowledge and celebrate those with a commitment to good practice above and beyond legal compliance and innovative approaches that will inspire other employers.
NHS Employers sponsored two awards, the inclusive culture award won by Sodexo and the overall public sector award won by Acas.
Paul Deemer, one of the award judges and head of NHS Employers diversity and inclusion said:
“We are proud to once again sponsor the inclusive culture and overall public sector categories. The health and social care sector aspires to lead the way in creating inclusive, productive and safe working environments for staff, and we hope that our support of these awards will go some way to encouraging others to do the same. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners.”
Accolades were granted to 22 organisations across 20 categories, with winners having to demonstrate a clear response to a specific challenge, definitive and measurable outcomes and evidence of significant impact.
