Read the experiences of last year’s winner of the NHS Employers supported Advancing Healthcare award for outstanding achievement by an apprentice, support worker or technician in our new blog.
Emma Busby, a physiotherapy assistant at the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust was recognised for her work in initiating and leading a programme to improve the strength and fitness of patients with lower limb osteoarthritis, which has achieved a host of positive outcomes including better self-management.
In her blog Emma reflects on how winning the Advancing Healthcare award not only provided some great memories but has led to her receiving a lot of recognition for her work. As a result she now receives requests to speak to other teams about the programme, providing helpful hints and tips, and has presented at a national physiotherapy conference.
