NHS Employers and the Health and Care Women Leaders Network have launched a practical guide to support NHS employers with their gender pay gaps.
In 2018, it became mandatory for all public sector employers with more than 250 employees to measure and publish their gender pay gap information. Since then, employers have had a responsibility to publish data annually, on both their own websites and on the government’s.
The new guide has been designed to help employers:
- report their annual gender pay gap figures
- understand how to address the challenges, including the importance of creating a narrative and explaining the figures.
- support them in to developing an action plan to tackle the gap.
