New T Levels content

We have created a new section on the NHS Employers website dedicated to T Levels. This is to support employers to understand what they are and how they can get involved in hosting industry placements for students.

The new content area includes details about getting started on hosting T Level students and a case study from an NHS trust which has piloted hosting industry placements in non-clinical settings.

T Levels are a new qualification which will give young people the experience of a real work environment. By completing a T Level industry placement, young people could enter the workforce on an apprenticeship or entry-level role.

We will be hosting a webinar on 6 February to explain what T Levels are, how you can get involved in hosting industry placements and the benefits these can bring to your organisation.

Manchester Universities NHS Foundation Trust will be speaking about its experience of hosting pilot industry placements in its careers hub, and will discuss how this benefited the organisation. The Strategic Development Network will also be joining us to share details of its support package for employers. Register for the webinar on the event page.

The Education and Skills Funding Agency is holding two roundtable meetings to discuss T Levels with employers.

They will take place on 30 January in Manchester and 13 February in London. If you're interested in attending, please contact workforcesupply@nhsemployers.org
