The NHS Staff Council has jointly agreed a statement on good partnership working and issues to consider when developing local plans to combat coronavirus (Covid-19).
The aim of the guidance is to support partnership working between employers, trade unions and staff in implementing plans to ensure that appropriate precautions are taken to maintain the safety of patients, staff and the public we serve.
The guidance should help ensure that staff know exactly what to do with individuals who are concerned they have the virus and how to treat infected patients with minimal risk to themselves. It also alerts everyone to be vigilant to prevent the wider spread of the virus.
Acas has developed advice for employers around managing the health and safety of their staff. We encourage all employers to keep informed of the latest guidance and advice issued by Public Health England and the Department of Health and Social Care alongside advice from local infection prevention and control specialists.
