New guidance on supporting your staff returning to the workplace

COVID-19 health, safety and wellbeing

With the governments recent announcement to pause shielding for clinically extremely vulnerable people from 1 August 2020, there will be greater numbers of staff returning to the workplace.

These members of staff may be returning following a period of sickness absence, self-isolation, working from home and, in the longer-term, returning from shielding.

This guidance outlines:

  • the organisational considerations when planning for staff to return
  • tips for managers
  • signposts to useful resources
  • good practice examples from NHS trusts.
