2021 enei award winners announced

The winners of the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) Awards 2021 were announced on 7 October 2021.

Over 100 high-quality entries were received. The awards acknowledge and celebrate those with a commitment to good practice above and beyond legal compliance, and innovative approaches that will inspire other employers.

NHS Employers sponsored the Inclusive Culture award that was won by Amey, Highways England were highly commended.

NHS Confederation sponsored the Employee Network of the Year award that was won by ScotRail LGBT+ and Allies Network Group, Greater London Authority Race Equity Network were highly commended.

Paul Deemer, head of diversity and inclusion at NHS Employers said: 

“I would like to pass on my congratulations to all of the winners, and also congratulate all of the applicants for their achievements and commitment to improving diversity and inclusion within their organisations.” 

Other winners from the NHS included:

  • North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust -  winner of the Innovative Approach to Diversity & Inclusion award.
  • Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust – highly commended for the Driving Social Inclusion in the Workplace award.
  • Pav Aktar from Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust - highly commended for the Equality & Inclusion Influencer of the Year award
