Read about our second staff experience conference, which featured NHS organisations sharing approaches to improving staff experience.

3 December 2021

On Wednesday 1 December 2021, we held our second virtual staff experience conference to provide NHS professionals with an opportunity to connect share and learn after a difficult 20 months.

The conference was our biggest event to date, with 530 delegates joining.

This year’s event was a collaboration between our health and wellbeing, staff engagement, and staff experience work programmes to deliver a conference that joined up different elements of the broader staff experience agenda.

Speakers and break-out sessions included:

  • Prerana Issar, NHS chief people officer, NHS England and NHS Improvement
  • Michael West, senior visiting fellow, The King's Fund
  • Maggie Oldham, chief executive, Isle of Wight NHS Trust
  • Lord Victor Adebowale, chair, NHS Confederation
  • a special performance from Lewisham and Greenwich NHS choir

Shared learning was provided from NHS trusts including Alder Hey Children’s hospital, Swansea Bay University Health Board, Sheffield teaching hospital and Sherwood Forest Hospitals, among others.
