Commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care, HEE is reviewing, renewing and updating the existing 15-year strategic framework for workforce planning, Framework 15. It will also now include registered professionals working in social care.
The call for evidence seeks to identify the factors that may have the greatest impact on demand for the health and social care sector over the next 15 years, and what this means for the workforce numbers, as well as the requirement for new skills, new roles and new ways of working.
NHS Employers will be providing a collective response on behalf of the NHS Confederation and its members, but would also encourage employers to respond with local data and the impact on workforce directly to HEE through the online evidence form.
The driving factors that impact on workforce demand and supply are wide ranging, and HEE is interested in the technical factors that impact on workforce demand and supply such as demographics, socio-economic and environmental factors, as well as the broader factors such as generational preferences, workplace culture and wellbeing.
Please note that the deadline for evidence closes on 6 September.
