Number of OSCE test providers increases

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northumbria University will join the three existing OSCE test centres to keep up with increasing demand.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has today announced the five partners that have been awarded contracts to deliver the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) part of the Test of Competence (ToC) from February 2022 onwards.

In addition to renewing the contracts with the current OSCE delivery partners – Oxford Brookes University, the University of Northampton and Ulster University – Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northumbria University have also been awarded contracts.  

Candidates will be able to book their tests from December 2021, and the NMC will issue further information on booking tests closer to the date.
