NHS Staff Council guidance

The NHS Staff Council has published a guidance material which provides information on the following:

• the final elements of reform that take effect on 1 April 2021
• confirmation of the consolidated payment for staff in bands 8 – 9.

A revised presentation of the pay structure is included within the document which reflects the completion of structural reform to all the pay bands. No changes have been made to the pay values. This structure will be replicated in Annex 2 of the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook in due course.

Pay tool

The online pay tool was designed specifically for the 2018 pay deal. It will not be updated once the detail of the 2021/22 pay award is known but will remain available as a tool to use retrospectively across the three years of the deal.

The online pay tool will remain accessible for a further 12 months before being archived in April 2022.
