GMS contract changes 2019/20

In January 2019, NHS England and the General Practitioners Committee (GPC) England published Investment and evolution: a five-year framework for GP contract reform to implement the NHS Long Term Plan. 

The agreement translates commitments in the NHS Long Term Plan into a five-year framework for the General Medical Services (GMS) contract effective from 1 April 2019. These changes apply in England only. 

Full details of the GMS contract including the new Primary Care Network Directed Enhanced Services (DES), the Quality and Outcomes Framework, vaccination programme and supporting documents can be found on the NHS England GP contracts page.
 
The technical requirements document for the 2019/20 contract changes will be available on the NHS England GP contracts page in due course.
