Clare Panniker

Chair of the NHS Employers policy board

Clare is joint chief executive of Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust and Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Before joining Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, Clare was CEO of North Middlesex University Hospital for nine years.

A registered nurse, Clare also has a business degree, and has worked in the NHS for more than 25 years. Clare mentors other aspiring NHS leaders, from both clinical and management backgrounds.
