This standard outlines the legal requirements that NHS organisations must undertake in order to verify a candidate's right to work in the UK. 

It includes guidance on:

  • the type and level of checks required
  • specific forms of right to work documentation in appendix one
  • the type and level of checks for specific countries in appendix two 
  • the points-based immigration system in appendix three.
