NHS Streamlining Week - Day 2 regional streamlining

Streamlining week

NHS Employers hosted a week dedicated to streamlining in the NHS during 1–5 April 2019. On day two, we looked at the experiences of regional streamlining programmes and heard from streamlining programme managers from regional sustainability and transformation partnership (STPs) on their experiences of working on streamlining.

  • Read a blog streamlining - navigating the maze to make it work by Kenechi Nduka-Richard, a  streamlining programme lead for the Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire & Berkshire West STP. Kenechi writes about her streamlining experiences from the past year, supporting six NHS trusts to work collaboratively and reducing duplication during the on-boarding process.
  • Download a case study from the North East region and learn how they implemented an effective STP streamlining partnership with trade unions.
  • Access the streamlining programme managers' checklist which will assist newly appointed streamlining programme managers with what they need to be doing in their first few months to get streamlining off the ground.
  • Read a blog stop pressing repeat, start building trust and continue to collaborate by Kim Morley, a streamlining programme manager for West Yorkshire and Harrogate STP. Kim talks about the importance of collaboration and improving staff experience.
