On 27 June we are hosting the second in a series of webinars, in partnership with the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).

The webinar is aimed at individuals in recruitment and HR roles (and only accessible to those who are based within an NHS organisation). This session explores barring and an employer's legal duty to make referrals to the DBS.

Topics to be covered:
  • the benefits of the DBS and your organisation working together
  • understanding the three different referral routes
  • when a DBS barring referral should be made, including when the legal duty is met
  • what Regulated Activity is
  • how to make a good quality referral
  • understanding the consequences of not making appropriate barring referrals and the consequences of being included in one or both barred lists.

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
