Pay and conditions circulars

Pay and conditions circulars inform of changes to pay and terms and conditions for hospital medical and dental staff, doctors in public health medicine and the community health service and staff covered by Agenda for Change.


Equal pay

Equal pay has been a statutory entitlement since 1970, when the Equal Pay Act came into force. The Agenda for Change pay system was introduced in October 2004 to ensure that pay in the NHS was consistent with the requirements of equal pay law.
