Preparing for exception reporting reform: employer workshops

We are holding a series of workshops for employers looking at understanding the exception reporting reforms, highlighting key changes and beginning to process of developing further guidance.
These sessions will provide practical support and guidance to help employers prepare for the implementation of agreed reforms to exception reporting arrangements. The implementation date for these changes is 4 February 2026.
The workshops will provide a collaborative space to:
- examine the core components of the reforms in detail and assess the resulting changes to the guardian's responsibilities
- ask questions and clarify implementation challenges
- share insights and contribute to shaping future guidance and support materials
- connect with colleagues to discuss and collaborate on implementation.
Whether you're seeking clarity or looking to influence the scope and content of support materials, these workshops offer a valuable opportunity to engage with peers and key policy leads.
We will aim to provide a briefing pack to help you prepare for the session; securing meaningful engagement from our guardians will help us to better understand how we can best support delivery of the new arrangements.
Who these webinars are for:
In order to best manage numbers and ensure productive discussions will take place we will be running a series of sessions aimed at medical staffing colleagues and Guardians of Safe Working Hours.
We will be covering similar content at each session so delegates are asked only to book into single session to avoid repetition.
Please note, all sessions will take place over MS Teams. Select the relevant session below to book your place.
